Our Small-Batch Hot Honey begins with raw, unfiltered honey harvested from our own A Gust of Sun Apiary and a carefully balanced blend of organically grown, non-GMO peppers. Sweet and richly flavorful, it delivers an approachable medium warmth that develops gently rather than overwhelming the palate.
We never expose the honey to high heat. Instead, each batch is gently warmed at a carefully controlled low temperature to begin the infusion, then allowed to steep slowly at room temperature. This patient process gives the peppers time to impart their fruity, savory character and lingering warmth while preserving the distinctive flavor of our honey.
Delicious drizzled over pizza, fried chicken, biscuits, cornbread, barbecue, roasted vegetables, cheese and even ice cream. It can also be stirred into marinades, dressings, glazes and cocktails.
